This web site was developed for the Water Resources Inventory Area 20 to assist in strategic planning and scientific research. On this site you will find several GIS base layers containing WRIA 20 specific data. The data was collected from several State and Federal Agencies which are credited with links to their sites below. If you are looking for additional data on the state level you can visit these sites which serve as an online resource for much of the data found here. A special thanks in order to all of the agencies and personnel who went to the effort to make their data available to the public. Projections
In an attempt to make this data as accommodating as possible, it has been offered in two different projections for download. The coverages (e.00 files) are provided in Washington State Plane South Zone NAD 27 to match with The Washington Dept. of Ecology's GIS data. The shapefiles are provided in a geographic NAD 83 projection that matches data from ESRI.
Viewing the Data
For those who do not have an ESRI software suite but who would still like to view the data, ESRI provides a free software package called ArcExplorer. With it you can view shapefiles downloaded from this site.
