Abstract:
Stream temperature in West Twin Creek in the Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Park and Rock and Tower Creeks on DNR land outside the park was monitored. The monitoring began in 1996 and in continuing presently. Stream water chemistry has also been monitored at these sites for part of the same period.
Purpose:
To understand stream temperature variation in an old-growth forest.

The stream temperature was monitored using an Onset Optic StowAway temperature datalogger. The collection frequency is set to every 20 minutes and data was downloaded approximately every 28 - 56 days. Daily averages are reported.
