Marine Data Access Portal
The Olympic Natural Resources Center (ONRC) Clearinghouse is a metadata archive of Olympic Peninsula geospatial and biological data. We bring together natural and cultural resource information reflecting the region's diverse marine and terrestrial ecology, land ownership, and land use. Compiled metadata complies with Federal Geographic Data Committee and National Biological Information Infrastructure metadata content standards.
Metadata is "data about data," or bibliographic descriptions of data sets. Metadata 'the Clearinghouse way' means good data management, time savings in data search and acquisition, and common communication for integration of diverse data in research, management, and education.
