ONRC Guest Information
Facility Use Policy (click here for a PDF version) Use of Olympic Natural Resources Center facilities for research, education and community service is encouraged. Facility use is discouraged if comparable, suitable facilities are available commercially within the community. All ONRC facility use will be consistent with University of Washington Policy and, when appropriate, authorization will be documented by use of the University of Washington Request for Use of University Facilities. Some guideline criteria are listed here:
Olympic Natural Resources Center reserves the right to refuse use of the facilities when inconsistent with this policy or when use is deemed inappropriate for University of Washington facilities. Questions regarding the application of this policy to specific requests or the consideration of exceptions to this policy are the purview of the Director, or in his absence, the Administrator. Welcome to the ONRC. Guests using ONRC facilities must agree to abide by the following rules:
After hours: If the meeting or overnight stay is to be held outside normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8-5) the responsible person will make arrangements with the staff at ONRC to arrange for an access key. Lost keys: A $50.00 charge will be assessed for lost keys. SMOKING is NOT ALLOWED inside any ONRC building including apartments and dormitories. Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed unless a banquet permit has been obtained prior to the meeting or event. Pets are not allowed inside any building at ONRC including apartments and dormitories. Laundry and Dorm showers and restrooms are available to lodgers. PLEASE NOTE: Guests/organizations agree to pay the cost to repair damage to ONRC facilities caused by negligence, misuse or vandalism by guest or employees of guest. Please inquire prior to affixing maps and posters to the walls. Damage shall include excessive soiling of apartment and dormitory carpets, and damage to walls, and furniture.
